Their aim is to work together to challenge stigma and oppression, by creating a respectful environment.Your new roleThe successful candidate will provide support to service users in a safe environment. They will work closely with people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, providing clients with support from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey. They will do so by providing screenings, assessments, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referrals. Other responsibilities will include 1-1 key workPOD, group work and clinical interventions.Risk assessmentsWhat you'll need to succeed6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE AS A RECOVERY WORKER: ESSENTIALExcellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working in a related field.Experience working within similar environments.Excellentmunication skillsTeamwork skillsAbility to navigate a challenging situationPost subject to enhanced DBS checkWhat you'll get in returnMonday to Friday, 9 to 5 hours.
