To start January 2026Are you passionate about helping young people thrive in a variety of learning environments? Fieldstone School is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Outreach team.You will provide essential support to students both on-site and in outreach settings, helping them engage with learning, develop key skills, and build confidence. You will work under the guidance of the Outreach Lead and Deputy Principal to plan and implement work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils with special educational needs. Your role will involve creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment across a variety of locations, including students’ homes, alternative provisions, and community settings. You will also promote inclusion, equal opportunities, and the welfare and safeguarding of all children and young people.Key Responsibilities:Support pupils in a range of learning environments, on-site and within the local community.Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities for individuals or groups.Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reports and assessments.Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to meet individual pupil needs.Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and resilience in students.Support the overall safety, welfare, and inclusion of pupils at all times.Essential CriteriaFull, clean driving licence.Good numeracy and literacy skills.Experience working with relevant age groups in educational or learning environments.Experience supporting children with additional needs.Experience of general clerical or administrative tasks.Training in relevant curriculum or learning strategies.Willingness to work flexibly to meet deadlines and respond to emerging situations. Fieldstone School is an independent day school, supporting the most vulnerable young people in society aged 5-16; those children who do not find it easy to fit into existing educational provision. This can be for many reasons, including a range of behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, exacerbated by being on the autistic spectrum, plus other difficulties such as sensory processing disorders, attachment disorders or those having faced trauma in their lives.We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people.
