Why Future Teachers?

Teaching Personnel has joined forces with schools in the North East to offer a unique program that provides graduates with meaningful, paid experience as they contemplate their initial teacher training journey. Our aim is to equip graduates with valuable skills, offer a stable 12-month employment opportunity, and connect them with potential employers and ITT providers. We're committed to not only increasing the number of graduates entering the teaching profession but also ensuring their successful retention during and after their training year

What Does Future Teachers Offer?

As part of the Future Teachers program, you'll embark on a 12-month position where you'll gain essential skills needed for a teaching career. Following the first year, we will support you as you apply for initial teacher training through a SCITT programme, often working in the same school or MAT group. Schools and MATs value the Future Teacher Programme as it helps them develop teachers who understand their school group’s particular culture and ethos.
