You will support individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities), MLD (Moderate Learning Disabilities), physical difficulties, and autism. Working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), you’ll play a vital role in enhancing students’ communication and independence. This is a full-time role for four days a week, ideal for candidates with experience in SEN or a care background. Personal care, including toileting, may be required for some students, so a compassionate approach is essential.

About the college: Join a dynamic and well-respected college known for its inclusive and supportive environment. The college spans three impressive campuses, offering over 15 different subjects and catering to more than 13,000 students. With cutting-edge facilities and a strong SEN support system, the college is committed to providing all students, including those with learning difficulties, a space where they can flourish.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with young adults or individuals with SEN.
• A background in care, with experience in personal care support.
• Familiarity with PMLD, MLD, and autism.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude, with a strong commitment to supporting students’ wellbeing.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to students with physical, learning, and communication needs.
• Assist non-verbal students with communication tools such as visual aids and tablets.
• Collaborate with SLTs and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
• Support students with personal care tasks, including toileting and hygiene, as needed.
• Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment where students can build independence.

Perks and Benefits:

• Competitive pay rate of £85-£110 per day.
• Access to professional development and CPD opportunities.
• Work in a modern, well-resourced college with a supportive and collaborative team.
• Make a real difference in the lives of students with learning difficulties.
