Recovery Support Worker

This role is in a 15-bed CQC registered Care Home for adults with a mental health diagnosis and additional complex needs (such as addiction or forensic histories).
We are seeking a specialist recovery worker with work experience who is looking to join a new company and progress their career in social care.
We offer a comprehensive package of on-the-job training covering operational skills and mental health topics and therapeutic knowledge input. We invest robustly in staff development and advancement, as we know that our staff are our most important resource.
We will train you to best support our service users via individual support plans, therapeutic interventions and risk management skills so you can make a positive contribution to their recovery and positive move-on.
**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
Direct Work with Service Users & Family Members
To ensure that service users are treated with respect and dignity at all times and to build positive and constructive working relationships with clear and professional boundaries.
To undertake Key Worker responsibilities for a designated number of service users.
To provide an induction and on-going support to service users ensuring that they understand all their rights, responsibilities and entitlements
To manage and administer medication to all service users according to their individual medication management plan
To conduct comprehensive and detailed Assessments of service user needs and risk management
To provide personal care as required
Working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team & other External Agencies
To attend and contribute to professional appointments with the service user and other formal meetings such as CPA’s, placement reviews, discharge planning meetings and so forth.
To liaise with external agencies such as education, employment and training providers, leisure, recreational, health and other services etc to support the service user to access and engage with services as agreed as part of their Support Plan objectives.
Open to tier 2 student graduates in the UK
