Our client, a prominent consultancy in the transport and planning sector, is currently seeking a Transport Planning Director to join their team in a permanent capacity. The successful individual will play a crucial role in winning new work and expanding the team beneath them. This position is desperately required to help with organic growth but could be filled in as soon as the right person is identified.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading efforts to win new contracts and projects within the transport planning sector
Developing and implementing comprehensive transport planning models and plans
Providing expertise in transport assessments, including construction and design considerations
Engaging with the public and managing disputes effectively
Conducting transport development planning and securing necessary approvals
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
Raising the portfolio and profile of our client's transport planning services
Building and mentoring a growing team of transport planners

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in transport planning, including modelling and planning
Development planning experience in the transport sector
Proficiency in public engagement and dispute resolution
Strong technical skills in transport assessments, construction, and design
Proven ability to win new work and build client relationships
Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities
Strong understanding of market conditions and trends within the transport sector
