Cater for children who have a primary diagnosis of Autism
They focus on helping these children access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers
Each child has an individualised plan and curriculum
They facilitate and focus on providing specialist education, where educators and the multi-disciplinary team provide personalised and specific interventions to support learning

Not only will you be taking part in really rewarding work, you will also be adding valuable experience to your CVWhat the role as Autism Support Worker entails:

You will be facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children's learning
You will facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
You will encourage students to achieve the best they can academically, while also adding to their personal growth
You will keep track of their academic achievements
Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding

Qualities you will need to be a great Autism Support Worker:

Being kind, caring and compassionate
Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
Be patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
