High performance starts with you.Purpose of the Role:Role Dimensions:To participate in the Build and Assembly of Formula One cars, often working across multiple, cross resource functions in order to build car-assemblies, individual main car components and associated support equipment at the McLaren Racing Composites facility.Principal Accountabilities:Produce parts 100% to engineering drawingTo ensure all parts conform to specific instruction sheetsInspection of completed componentsTrim and Assemble carbon fibre componentsInitial assembly of new car partsServicing items from race and testsPreparation of parts for NDT inspectionParticipation in continuous improvement activitiesJob requirementsKnowledge, Skills and Experience: Ability to read engineering drawings and engineering skills backgroundGood practical skillsExperience of trimming and assembling of carbon fibre is essentialProblem solving skillsAbility to work under pressureBasic PC literacyPersonal Attributes: Work well in a teamAble to use own initiativeNot fazed by tight timescalesExcellent attention to detailGood communication skillsWhat McLaren can offer?We constantly strive to be better tomorrow than we are today.
