For single specialty candidates, the department will either support a full-time Critical Care job plan or offer clinical sessions in an area of subspecialty interest.
Alternatively, applications from individuals who wish to pursue a less than full time post to facilitate personal circumstance (or clinical activity in tertiary care for example) are encouraged and will be considered.

On-call responsibilities will be undertaken within critical care only, initially on a 1:8 basis as part of job planned activity.
There are plans in place to sustainably recruit to additional Critical Care posts over time to reduce the frequency of on-call commitments with a target on-call frequency of 1:10.
The contract will be for 10 programmed activities (PAs) which will be split between Critical Care and the associated specialty.
