We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic teacher to join the vibrant team at a highly regarded special educational needs (SEN) school in Exeter.
In this role, you will design engaging, personalised lessons that will inspire students and help them reach their full potential. About the school: Our client is a leading SEN school with a strong reputation for excellence in supporting students with diverse special needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, aspergers, SpLD, MLD and SEMH challenges.
With over 100 students across KS2 - KS5, the school fosters an inclusive and nurturing environment where every learning is supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
This is achieved by getting to know the students in all these areas, allowing them to flourish.
Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to the unique needs of SEN students Monitor, assess and report on student progress and development Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents and external agencies to ensure optimal outcomes for learners Serve as a positive role model and advocate for student success Embrace and engage ongoing professional development opportunities Who we're looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (ECT's welcome to apply) Proven experience in working with and motivating SEN students is highly advantageous A genuine passion for supporting students who face challenges in their learning journey A flexible, proactive and solution-oriented mindset Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a cohesive team A solid understanding of the national curriculum Join a school where your skills and compassion will make a lasting impact
