Dedicated Support Specialist for Students with SEN

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Exeter.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a significant impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to develop engaging and stimulating lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to create personalized learning plans that promote student growth and development.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH, ASD, and challenging behaviour.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student confidence and self-esteem.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN education.
Requirements:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for successful collaboration with teachers and students.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for school transport.
- Demonstrated qualities of patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability when working with students with diverse needs.
- Dedication to ensuring student success and progress.
- Prior experience working with individuals facing severe learning difficulties or other SEN is preferred.
