Job summary Do you want to join a friendly and dynamic team that supports the delivery of medical and dental education for the healthcare workforce?
We're seeking an Education Programme Officer to provide a broad range of business and administrative support to the medical and dental workforce, training and education (WT&E) team across the South West.
The post-holder will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal will be to enable the delivery of an exciting workforce programme.
The role will primarily support the medical and dental training programmes, an exciting time to be involved in the changes that are happening in medical education nationally.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work with the Education Programme Lead in the relevant local office to support the operational delivery of medical and dental education programmes across the South West.
Working closely with the Education Programme Lead you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.

Job description Job responsibilities The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
In addition, they must possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task a variety of demands on their time.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Evidence of continued professional development Desirable Understanding of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience of working in a Healthcare environment An understanding of the 'Gold Guide' guidance for the management of postgraduate training programmes An understanding of, and experience of, managing and delivering postgraduate training programmes in medicine, and/or dentistry at Foundation and/or higher level An understanding of the assessment processes for doctors and dentists in postgraduate training Desirable An understanding of the GMC registration process for Foundation doctors Skills and Capbilities Essential Ability to prepare and produce concise communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders including senior stakeholders as required, requiring developed interpersonal oral and written communication skills Ability to work to high standards with accuracy and paying attention to detail Ability to provide information for draft reports, data and letters, sourcing relevant information as required Values and Behaviours Essential Promotes equality of opportunity and good working relations (providing practical leadership)
