New Business Development Manager Who We are: Tier 2 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prolifics Application Services Inc - a digital engineering and consulting firm helping clients navigate and accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Tier 2 works in partnership with organisations of all sizes and across industry sectors to understand their business challenges.
We deliver custom software solutions using modern, open-source, cloud-native technology and an agile project approach.
We are the only Red Hat Premier Middleware Partner in the UK & Ireland, and one of only a handful of Red Hat Container Platform Specialists in Europe, a recognition of our expertise in OpenShift.
The Role: You will add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities.
You will additionally provide guidance within the business development team to grow our services and software resales revenues.
You will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to the Managing Director/Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities: New logo hunting - 40% - 50% of quota will consist of net new business Uncover new buyers within existing accounts and secure new signings Partner with, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams through the entire sales cycle Help develop, support, and implement commercial strategies to accelerate growth Work closely with Marketing to define and execute lead generation campaigns Structure and deliver presentations of our services and offerings to potential new customers Acquire new customers via strategic pipeline, delivering against agreed growth targets Find and nurture new business relationships and to support the attainment of internal growth targets Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities Monitor performance using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management Skills and Experience: Proven experience leading growth in a senior Sales or Business Development role within a software development or cloud services environment Strong track record of delivering growth in line with agreed new business targets; Solid knowledge of performance reporting and pipeline management; Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mind-set; Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of cost models that deliver a consistent approach and ensure agreed profitability targets are achieved; Excellent organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team; Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
