Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated senior nurse to apply for the post of Matron for Continuing Care within our Newborn Services Division within St Mary's Managed Clinical Services based on the Wythenshawe site.
You should be a senior neonatal nurse with sound clinical and managerial experience and can demonstrate the desire and ability to provide strong and visible leadership and facilitate team learning.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate a high level of leadership, management and communication skills and be able to demonstrate recent experience at a senior level and possess a high level of expertise in change management, whilst being able to influence practice with all levels of staff.
This is an exceptional opportunity for professional development for an experienced neonatal nurse.
In addition to proven clinical knowledge and ability you will need to have evidence of professional leadership and managerial skills as the post requires the management of a diverse and large nursing workforce.

The Division of NewbornServices at Manchester University Foundation (NHS) Trust is seeking to appoint a Matron forContinuingCare to support the Division of Newborn Services (neonatal care) within Saint Mary's Hospital Managed Clinical Service.
Main duties of the job The focus for the whole service is to provide the highest quality of care, ensuring the family are central to everything we do.
We pride ourselves on our strong and positive education culture which enables staff to access a range of development opportunities and to fulfil their professional potential.
Collectively the senior nursing leadership team ensure the delivery of high-quality neonatal nursing care across the Managed Clinical Service.
Your role as Neonatal Matron for CC will bring a specific portfolio of responsibilities including setting and maintaining professional standards within the continuing care areas of the whole service and with a particular focus on the Neonatal Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Other responsibilities may include community outreach care, neonatal in-reach, safeguarding and Quality Improvement.
All units within the service are busy clinical environments and call for responsive individuals with exemplary time management, communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to remain calm and focused in the face of challenging situations is essential.
