The Matron for Quality will support the Associate Director of Nursing and Quality and wider team to deliver clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective high quality clinical care and consistent achievement of care standards. This will be in line with the nationally agreed 10 key responsibilities set out in the matrons handbook as below: Inclusive leadership, professional standards and accountability Governance, patient safety and quality Workforce planning and resource management Patient experience and reducing health inequalities Performance and operational oversight Digital and information technology Education, training and development Research and development Collaborative working and clinical effectiveness Service improvement and transformation. The post holder will deliver transformation of clinical services to best meet the needs of the population within the care group. As a key member of the Clinical Leadership Team the post holder will provide Clinical Quality Leadership to facilitate consistent best practice care at practice level in support of Clinical Governance Plan.

This will include taking a key role in the future shaping and development of the Services.
