Reporting to the Technology Strategy Director, you’ll work closely with the Product Support Manager and Solution Lead to ensure that all new solutions and changes to existing solutions are fit for purpose and tracking as expected across HR, Legal & Finance divisions. Responsible for the overall running of the delivery function, ensuring the team are successfully delivering across all projects and programmes, managing capacity and capability to deliver agreed demands. A key role in the project life cycle that will own the delivery roadmap aligned to resource and budget whilst managing key business stakeholders to ensure continued engagement for project duration.
This role is offering a hybrid contract and will require working on site twice per week at either our Ashford, Kent or Covent Garden, London sites, whichever is closer to you. Although the role is UK based and operates with a UK remit, there will also be collaborative and supportive activities with other European entities, so occasional travel may be required across GB and EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple Project Managers, ensuring effective stakeholder management with business leads as required.
- Escalate Programme level: Risks, Issues, Dependencies & Resources.
- Set up appropriate project governance as necessary & adhere to project governance standards.
- Work closely with PMO and adhere to project governance standards and compliance.
- Management of programme budgets in line with Capex and Opex forecasts.
- Ensure personal knowledge and exposure to business change opportunities remains up to date, appropriate and relevant.
- Successfully implement changes into BAU and Product Support Teams.
- Champion cross capability learning and optimising of delivery process.
- collaborative working with other Delivery Leads as well as interaction with the Service Transition, Enterprise Architecture and Cyber governance functions.
- Line management of a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solution Architects.
- Working closely with the Technology Strategy Director, the role is responsible for ensuring there is enough capacity and capability to deliver the agreed demand and specific project/s.
About you:
You’ll have demonstrable and significant Technology Project delivery experience across a large organisation, operating at a senior level. A detailed understanding of core business processes, particularly across HR & Finance is essential. Network and infrastructure knowledge is critical to navigate the complexity and ambiguity of larger programmes. We’re looking for someone who has built their experience through project and programme management and now operating at a senior level, with the desire to support and progress to director level. The Delivery Lead will manage a large team so previous line management experience is required to support with strong mentoring and coaching whilst also developing the skill set across the team.
