Role


A great opportunity for a Business Development Manager ready to take their career to the next level


This position will have direct line management responsibilities and will be primarily office-based in the Midlands, split between 70% new business and 30% management (small sales team).


Compensation


Base Salary: £60K - £70K

Commission: 6% of GP for life, no threshold

Company car or car allowance


Key Responsibilities


  • Find and qualify companies that fit targeted customer segments.
  • Gather facts by involving key decision-makers, assess company risk situation including pain points and develop account strategies to win opportunities.
  • Deliver confident sales presentation, via either videoconference and/or face-to-face – with senior-level decision makers, overcome potential objections and close the sale by finalizing pricing conditions.
  • Develop timelines to ensure successful implementation of solutions, including integration into customer supply chain and, successfully sign the contract with the customer.
  • Ensure compliance to all agreements, achieve high level of customer satisfaction and retain strong customer loyalty by nurturing the partnership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Provide complete and accurate visibility of the entire sales pipeline.
  • Lead and manage existing sales team in the Midlands office.


Qualifications


  • Experience in freight and logistics industry, with Air, Ocean, and Road freight preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving sustained growth, hitting sales targets and the ability to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Ability to motivate and guide a sales team toward achieving goals.
