Commercial Sales Executive

The Internal Chemicals & Chromatography Sales Specialist is responsible for increasing revenue and profit with the final objective of achieving EBITDA targets as set, and supporting the field based Business Development and Account Management Teams, in achieving sales & margin targets for VWR UK Chemicals & Chromatography business.
Consistently achieve IOP for sales and margin in our Chemicals & Chromatography portfolio
Provides Manager with up to date reports on sales activities and issues
Order, register and follow up demo products according to the demo unit management process
Send out catalogues, brochures, promotions & manage through C4C
Liaise with local, Regional & European counterparts within the Chemicals & Chromatography business teams and marketing teams
Support the sales teams with marketing campaigns
Monitor competitors and market trends within dedicated product portfolios and build market intelligence
Support your manager in developing a sales forecasts for your portfolio of products as and when required
Updating all relevant customer interactions on our CRM system C4C
Regular communication with the local sales organisation, highlighting the performance of the product portfolio
In conjunction with Manager sets own goals and takes ownership of same as per VWR PMP process
Participation in local sales training and meetings
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience & Certifications)
Previous external/internal sales experience required
Strong commercial understanding and knowledge of the market, the competition within and pricing and discount structures
In depth knowledge of procurement, both strategically and operationally, sourcing, market analysis, cost analysis, contract negotiation and supplier performance level service agreements/performance metrics
IT Literate, proficient in the use of C4C, Qlickview, Lotus Notes and MS Office applications
