Recruitment Administrator

Hartlepool | 12 Month FTC

£29,000 P/A - £30,000 P/A including Benefits


Smart Environmental Support Solutions are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Recruitment Administrator to join our team on a 12 month FTC.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the recruitment across our clients waste management sites based in Hartlepool.

This is covering a period of maternity leave, based from one site there will also be occasional travel to other client sites in the surrounding areas.


Key Duties

  • Administrative Support: Manage and coordinate all administrative aspects of the recruitment process, from posting job advertisements to scheduling interviews and processing onboarding paperwork.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and other recruitment channels. Keeping an active pool of available workers
  • Application Management: Track and manage incoming applications, ensuring all candidate information is accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Interview Coordination: Arrange interviews, liaise with candidates and hiring managers, and ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and answering queries.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update the recruitment database, ensuring all candidate records are up to date.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation. Right to work checking and verification

Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in recruitment administration or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR databases.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of recruitment processes and best practices, particularly in high-volume environments.
  • Previous Administration experience essential
  • Holding a valid and clean driving license with own car
