Job Description

Mode Search are collaborating with a leading luxury brand in their search for a Retail Training Manager - Northern Europe.


This newly established role, reporting to the Retail Director, presents an excellent opportunity for a training manager with substantial expertise in enhancing the client journey.


The responsibilities of the successful candidate will encompass instructing new employees on presentation and persuasion methods, conducting simulations of sales situations, and developing training programs to address knowledge deficiencies.


It is important to note that this role necessitates regular visits to our regional retail locations to collaborate closely with our sales personnel.


The Role:

  • Collect, evaluate and prepare a shared calendar of learning programs for Stores based on global and local projects.
  • Manage the training team of the Region with an accurate project management approach, sharing calendars, timing and programs
  • Evaluate training KPI’s and business performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
  • Creating, designing and executing training strategies and programs both in-house and with expert third parties
  • Deliver training including support for onboarding to Store Staff
  • Design and execute orientation programs for sales teams
  • Conduct onboarding training sessions for new hires
  • Act as a consultant to salespeople for challenges they have on the job
  • Assign mentors and coaches to new sales team members
  • Observe how salespeople and cashiers interact with clients to identify areas of improvement
  • Determine training needs both for individuals and teams
  • Organize role-playing activities to simulate difficult client cases (e.g. how to overcome objections)
  • Advise salespeople how to upsell products and services
  • Apply various sales training techniques (e.g. gamification, case studies and group activities)
  • Maintain updated records of training curriculum and material


Requirements

  • Work experience as a Retail Trainer, Sales Trainer or similar role
  • Experience in retail industry
  • Availability to travel and visit our retail stores, as needed
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including conducting in-person activities and using e-learning platforms
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate employees to achieve sales quotas
  • BSc degree in Education, Human Resources or relevant field
  • Additional certification in training is a plus
