About the Role:

Our client is seeking a driven and strategic Head of Business Development to join a fast-growing creator economy business. The company operates in the digital media landscape, managing a portfolio of macro YouTube channels with highly engaged audiences ranging from 1M to 17M subscribers. Their business model offers a unique proposition that blends elements of an MCN and a digital publisher, delivering exceptional value to brands and agencies.


This fully remote role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by developing partnerships with agencies and brands. The focus will be on selling bespoke content solutions that resonate with audiences and enhance brand visibility across multiple media channels.


Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth from branded content campaigns and other media solutions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with agencies, brands, and key decision-makers to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, tailoring proposals to align with client objectives.
  • Own the sales pipeline, managing the entire process from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Deliver revenue forecasts and achieve ambitious sales targets.


Content Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with brands to produce bespoke, original content tailored to engage the business’s substantial audience of young adults.
  • Leverage real-time insights to create highly relevant and engaging campaigns for clients.
  • Ensure all content aligns with audience interests and enhances brand visibility across media channels.
  • Develop creative content strategies that resonate with audiences and deliver measurable success for clients.


Media Solutions:

  • Offer integrated branded content opportunities across YouTube channels, positioning the business as a key partner for agencies and brands.
  • Distribute branded content effectively across media channels, ensuring alignment with audience interests and maximizing reach.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, educating them on the value of branded content and the company’s ability to connect brands with highly engaged audiences.


Market Leadership:

  • Stay at the forefront of trends in the digital publishing and creator economy sectors, ensuring the business remains innovative and competitive.
  • Represent the company at industry events, building its profile as a leader in branded content.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver campaigns that exceed client expectations.

  • Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within a digital media or content-driven environment, such as an MCN or digital publisher.
  • Demonstrated success in selling branded content or media solutions to agencies and brands.
  • A strong network of relationships with agencies and brand decision-makers.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches.
  • A deep understanding of branded content production and media distribution.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-working environment.
