THE OPPORTUNITY


We are seeking a tenacious, ambitious and organised Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the Rights Management Team, driving the growth of the department and the wider agency via New Business efforts.


As a member of our Rights Management team, you will be working with all parts of the agency, particularly your immediate team taking ownership of our prospecting function to deliver on financial and marketing objectives.


The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and methodical whilst demonstrating versatility and determination in applying new acquisition methodologies. Our goal is to put the agency in the best possible position to acquire new clients and grow the business.


ROLE OVERVIEW


This is an exciting new opportunity within the Rights Management team. Generating leads and commercial propositions, opening doors with new brand clients, using research and data to provide the hook then creating the info and graphics tailored to each brand to send out and follow up, dealing with responses accordingly.

Once new business opportunities have been unlocked, you will work closely with the Commercial Director at Bright to build pitches and proposals in accordance with client briefs and our agency’s output. In time, you will be able to confidently and successfully represent Bright at client meetings and networking events.

You will be a strategic thinker, detailed orientated and methodical worker, confident writer, be brimming with ideas, demonstrate an ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently and have a high attention to detail. This role offers progression to those who have a desire to be in sales and business development.


RIGHTS SALES


  • Work on behalf of some of the top rights holders in sport and entertainment, understand their offering and associated rights
  • Research and identify relevant sectors / brands / prospects for the specific opportunities, including the development of potential partnership narratives and creative activation ideas
  • Manage all outreach to prospects using in-house lead generation tools
  • Work with senior stakeholders and studio to develop creative solutions as part of sales process
  • Support on maximisation of internal agency relationships to drive new conversations
  • Manage Rights Management infrastructure including the CRM system to keep the sales pipeline accurate and up to date at all times
  • Managing automation of processes
  • Provide monthly analysis and updates on rights sales performance
  • Attend and contribute to weekly internal update meetings
  • Stay informed of the latest industry trends to help identify new opportunities



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Minimum 2 - 5 years relevant experience preferably within a sports marketing agency or an equivalent environment within a lead generation role
  • Proven sales experience, with a creative approach to business development
  • Strong understanding of the sports and entertainment marketing landscape including the role sponsorship plays within the marketing mix
  • Good writing skills, ability to write and adapt copy for different channels / media
  • Excellent IT skills particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good eye for design and creative layout, and a high attention to detail
  • Confident and articulate communicator and presenter, both face to face and over the telephone
  • Strong time management, organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills from junior account executive to board level
  • Ability to build relationships and trust
  • A self-starter with proactive attitude and a desire to continuously improve the agency’s new business offering
  • Able to work independently while delivering high quality work to deadlines
