Location: Swindon Central Office
Duration: 6-month secondment
Pay: £14 per hour
Hours: 37 per week (flexible start and finish times)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home after settling in period)

About the Role: Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their small, dynamic team. This role involves:

You will be working under the guidance of the Senior Finance Officer, who leads the team.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, sales invoices, and receipts. You will work closely with Finance Managers to monitor budgets and cost centres, manage large expenditure items, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Your role will also involve providing guidance to administration teams, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the annual external audit. This position requires attention to detail, proactive management of financial data, and effective communication with key stakeholders

Requirements:

AAT NVQ Level 4 or similar accountancy experience, or willingness to work towards this qualification
GCSE qualifications at grades A - C in Maths and English or equivalentThis position is a 6-month contract
