Purpose of the Quality & Curriculum Lead (including Internal Quality Assurance) role:
· To lead the continuous improvement of delivery through curriculum design and development
· Lead on curriculum design with employers to ensure knowledge, skills and behaviours meet employer and industry needs
· Development of teaching staff to improve quality of delivery and sessions to learners
· Review and assess teaching materials, coursework, and assessments to ensure they meet quality standards
· Accountable for the internal verification of vocational learner assessments; giving timely, constructive and supportive feedback to the teaching team
· Responsible for ensuring that all IQA activity continually meet the needs of the learners and exceeds the requirements of our respective Awarding Organisations.
· To motivate and develop our teaching team to improve the quality of delivery across all programmes, through ensuring high quality teaching, learning and assessment for all learners
Quality & Curriculum Lead (including Internal Quality Assurance) Responsibilities:
· Undertake internal verification of vocational learner assessments, providing constructive and support feedback to teaching staff
· Maintain accurate and timely records to support and evidence the internal verification of learner assessments, adhering to GDPR regulations at all times
· Ensure that all internal quality assurance activities are carried out with exceptional rigour and in line with IQA processes
· Ensure that all internal quality assurance practices adhere with awarding organisations protocols and expectations, and that appropriate evidence is held to support quality and compliance visits by such external bodies
· Maintain respectful relationships and communications with the assessment and management teams
· Actively plan, participate and contribute to regular standardisation meetings, to ensure that provision is of high quality and results in high achievement rates and positive outcomes for learners
· Lead (with the Head of Quality) the preparation for External Assurance Visits, participating in these as required to support the business to achieve/maintain Direct Claim Status and centre approvals
· Provide comprehensive reports to Senior Leaders on a regular basis to inform on potential strengths, areas for development and professional CPD areas
Qualifications Required for the Quality & Curriculum Lead (including Internal Quality Assurance)
· IQA Qualification (Level 4) - Essential
· Assessor Qualification - Desirable
· Minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification - Essential
· Minimum L2 English/Maths/IT - Essential
