About the role:
We’re looking for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours to join our team from January 2025. In this role, you’ll be supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils with additional behavioural needs. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a consistent, structured environment, using tailored strategies to help each child overcome barriers and reach their potential.
If you’re an experienced TA with a background in SEN and a commitment to creating positive change in children’s lives, this role offers an ideal opportunity to develop your skills further in a supportive school environment. Application Requirements:

• Strong understanding of SEN strategies, particularly around behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
• A passion for working with children and creating inclusive, positive learning environments.
• Great communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and families effectively.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, though experience with SEN support is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, focusing on managing behaviours and enhancing engagement.
• Implementing behaviour management techniques to create a calm and structured learning environment.
• Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to design and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Observing and reporting on progress and challenges to support targeted interventions.
• Building positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and resilience.

In addition to a competitive daily rate, this role offers the chance to work in a school with a warm and inclusive atmosphere, where every staff member is supported and valued. You’ll benefit from ongoing training, access to SEN resources, and opportunities for career progression.
