**Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Challenging Behaviour | Harrow**

**Ortus Recruitment** are looking to recruit a resilient and proactive individual to take on the fulfilling role of a **Year 2 Teaching Assistant** to support and encourage a child who exhibits challenging behaviour.

**The role**:
The **successful individual** will have a firm but fair approach and will be passionate about aiding in the academic, social and emotional development of children with additional needs.

You will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis with the child as well as Teaching Assistant responsibilities such as managing classroom behaviour, keeping the classroom organised and leading interventions in small groups.
- **Individuals with mentoring experience or with behaviour management experience in a school setting will be ideal**_

**Main Expectations**:

- Strong behaviour management
- Experience working with SEN children
- Strong numeracy/literacy skills
- Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
