About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in ASD to join our outstanding school in the vibrant community of Harrow. This full-time, long-term role offers an incredible opportunity to work with an exceptional team in a well-designed and fully equipped environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. As our SEN-TA specializing in ASD, you will play an integral role in the development and success of our students. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you’ll provide tailored support for students with ASD, ensuring they can fully engage in the classroom. This is a role that combines skill and compassion, requiring you to support individual learning needs and adapt resources as needed. You’ll become a valued member of a dedicated team, all working together to make each child’s school experience enriching, inclusive, and fun

Application Requirements:

• Prior experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Knowledge of ASD-specific strategies, therapies, and resources.
• Positive, resilient, and flexible approach to working with SEN students.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support for students with ASD in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist in adapting lesson plans and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Support sensory, social, and emotional development through tailored activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement personalised education plans.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and families.
