As an SEN Teaching Assistant, specialising in ASD, you’ll work closely with teachers and the school’s SEN Coordinator to support pupils both one-on-one and in small groups.

Your role will be pivotal in helping students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills in a way that’s tailored to their needs. You’ll be joining a team of dedicated professionals committed to creating an engaging and positive learning environment. Whether you’re assisting in lessons, helping with sensory activities, or supporting students during breaks, you’ll be making a real impact.

• Experience working with children with ASD or within a special educational needs setting.
• Patience, positivity, and a genuine passion for helping children with special needs succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dynamic team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with ASD, helping them achieve their educational and personal development goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver engaging, individualized learning activities.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaks, and sensory activities, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Use a range of tools and resources to help students thrive in an inclusive environment.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence and social skills.
