Salary - Flexible DOE (guide £40-50k)

Our client, an esablished, family-owned packaging business are are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. This role is critical in driving the growth of our business within the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors. The successful candidate will focus on expanding our presence by generating new business opportunities, both within our existing large accounts and by identifying and securing new clients. If you have a strong background in business development, a understanding of the energy industry supply chain, and a proven track record of building successful relationships, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Business Growth:
o Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities within the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors.
o Expand relationships with existing large accounts, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services.
o Lead negotiations and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.

* Market Research & Analysis:
o Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and key players in the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors.
o Analyze competitors and market conditions to inform strategic planning.
o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis.

* Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and internal teams.
o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and forge new relationships.
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

* Strategic Planning:
o Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to develop and refine the company's growth strategy.
o Prepare detailed business plans, proposals, and presentations for potential clients.
o Track and report on business development activities, providing regular updates to senior management.

* Collaboration:
o Work closely with the marketing, technical, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
o Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications:
* Post-Grad qualification in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy and/or oil & gas sectors.
* Proven track record of generating new business and expanding existing accounts.
* Strong understanding of the renewable energy and oil & gas industries, including key trends, players, and regulations.
* Confident negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, with a results-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
* Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with large, complex accounts in the energy sector.
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Established network of contacts within the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors.
