Senior Business Development Manager

Central Employment Agency (North East) Limited is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital media, marketing, or advertising solutions and a strong understanding of social media, creative, and production.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and developing new business opportunities, managing opportunities from prospect research to pitch, and identifying additional and value-added digital media and creative services. They will also lead and grow a team of Business Development Executives.
The role requires a commercially astute individual with the ability to build rapport with prospects quickly and a solid track record of generating profitable business and revenue. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and collaborative team player with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new business opportunities in line with the new business targeting strategy.
- Manage opportunities from prospect research to pitch.
- Identify additional and value-added digital media and creative services.
- Lead and grow a team of Business Development Executives.
- Develop, deploy, and follow-up outbound prospecting campaigns.
- Review media for opportunities.
- Professionally guide prospects through the sales process.
- Mentor and develop other members of the business development team.
- Project management of pitch teams to respond to RFIs and RFPs.
- Build relationships with online marketing managers, directors, and CMOs.
- Handover clients to delivery teams as part of onboarding.
Requirements:
- Experience in digital media, marketing, or advertising solutions.
- Circa 3+ years in a new business-focused role.
- An understanding of social media, creative, and production and how it can achieve client goals and targets.
- Commercially astute and able to build rapport with prospects quickly.
- In-depth knowledge of the broader digital space.
- Personable, presentable, and articulate.
- A motivated and collaborative team player with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to mentor junior sales staff.
- A solid track record of generating profitable business and revenue.
