Payroll Team Leader

JGA are partnered with an exciting client based in Central Cambridge. The role is a contract position on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week office based.
Job Title: Payroll Team Lead
Location: Cambridge - CB2 - Hybrid (2 days in office – Mon & Tues)
Length: 6 – 9 month contract
Salary/Rate: £18 - £25 per hour
Responsibilities:
Support the Payroll Manager through a period of increased workload.
Involves supervising the day to day activities of the Payroll Administrators.
Manage all PAYE related matters for customers, including PAYE end of year procedures.
Checking payrolls, advising on complex issues, supporting the Payroll Manager with projects and potential processing some payrolls where required.

Level of supervisor experience in a payroll environment
Proven experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
Proven experience with high volume & end to end processing.
iTrent experience (Advantageous)
Oracle (Advantageous)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
