We’re looking for Compliance Liaison Officers (CLO) to join our External Managing Agent department. We are a leading London Housing Association with the purpose of providing good quality homes to our residents that allow them to live well and feel safe. As our residents are at the core of everything that we do, we are looking for people who have a real interest in people and a passion for delivering excellent service.

As an CLO, you’ll be liaising directly with External Managing Agents (EMA)and supporting our Property Managers and Housing Officers in their day-to-day compliance tasks. We’re looking for people who have customer service experience and excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.

You’ll need to have the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly. No two days are the same in housing management, so you’ll need to be adaptable and a problem solver with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Part of your role will require you to be on the phone to our EMA, so you’ll need to be comfortable calling and speaking with them about compliance matters.

Role responsibilities

Our Property Managers and Housing Officers are the main point of contact for the residents on their patch of properties. This means that their roles are varied with no two days being the same, and our Compliance Liaison Officers will be there to support them in their roles by assisting them with tasks such as:

* Support Compliance Delivery: Assist in ensuring that EMA meets all compliance requirements.

* Monitor Compliance: Use our compliance reporting platform to track compliance and help locate and upload necessary documents (e.g., water risk assessments, gas certificates).

* Manage Fire Risk Assessments: Oversee and ensure the completion of Fire Risk Assessment actions within specified timeframes.

* Achieve Compliance KPIs: Meet or exceed the set compliance KPI targets.

* Conduct Site Visits: Perform periodic site visits to ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety regulations.

This list is not exhaustive, and you may be asked to support in other tasks for the Property Managers and Housing Officers.

Need to know

You will be based at our Kings Cross office however you may be required to work from our Hammersmith Office on occasion if required as well as attend our sites in and around London.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Our typical office days are Monday and Tuesday, with the remainder of the week working from home.

This role is initially being advertised on a three-month basis. However, this will be reviewed towards the end of this term in line with business needs
