Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for driving health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) excellence across all operations, with a particular focus on Smart Metering and Dual Fuel services. The ideal candidate will bring extensive industry experience and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance, improving processes, and fostering a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards across all operations.
* Lead incident investigations, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
* Manage and maintain certifications and accreditations, ensuring all regulatory and legal requirements are met.
* Provide training and support to employees, promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement ethos.
* Collaborate with operational teams to embed HSEQ considerations into all projects and processes.
* Monitor environmental performance and ensure the organisation adheres to sustainability targets and initiatives.
* Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in an HSEQ management role, preferably within the Smart Metering, Dual Fuel, or energy sectors.
* In-depth knowledge of UK HSEQ regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential; Diploma-level qualifications are desirable.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
* A valid UK driving licence is desirable, as the role may involve travel.
