Adults Support Officer - Homes for Ukraine Team

London Borough of Camden are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Support Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, flexible work times, opportunities to work remotely and a chance to develop your skills. This Adults Homes for Ukraine Team role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

Work alongside the link work team managing the Homes for Ukraine phoneline and email inbox.
Conduct initial "settling in" home visits at the start of placements, ensuring the host and guests are the right fit for each other.
Complete an initial triage of placements and guests, to assess the support needs of each individual and household.
Provide tailored case work support, over the phone and in person, for hosts and guests; ensuring placements continue successfully, and guests have access to all the right support to settle in to Hackney effectively.
Helping them to access services such as benefits, work and education, housing, health, and mental health.
It will not include children's support, as CFS are taking on responsibility for any families who arrive.

Experience preferred:

Minimum of 12 months' experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector as a Support Worker in the UK.

The team:

Well-structured organised team, growing their staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

1 year experience in a similar role within the UK
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
