Job Title: Child Trauma Therapist

About the Role:
YMCA Robin Hood Group is seeking a highly skilled Child Trauma Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work directly with children and young people to complete psychological assessments and trauma-informed interventions. You will provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model, which promotes assets, reduces barriers, prevents and mitigates the impact of trauma, and prevents harm and/or re-traumatisation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychological assessments and trauma-informed interventions to children and young people
• Work with home staff teams to facilitate psychologically informed consultations, reflective practice sessions, and skills-based intensive training programmes
• Develop and implement trauma-informed care plans to support the recovery of children and young people
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care

Requirements:
• Doctorate or Stage 2 qualification in Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychology
• HCPC Registration as a Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist
• Membership with the BPS
• Post-qualification experience in a setting relevant to the post

Desirable Qualifications:
• Training in risk psychological/risk assessments and inventories, including Becks Youth Inventories BYI-II, Structured Assessment of Violent Risk in Youths (SAVRY), Millon personality assessments (M-PACI and MACI), Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children Version 5, Conners 4, and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
• Training in modes and models of intervention, including Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Accredited, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mentalization-Based Treatment
