Polaris Community is seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Intervention Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role involves providing consultation and therapeutic intervention to children in care and care leavers, as well as their foster carers and professional systems around them.

The successful candidate will provide short to medium term interventions to families in accordance with their training and accreditation. With a background in social care, youth work, education, or other related areas, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children and families/foster carers and a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

About the Role:

  • Work within internal and nationally recognised clinical governance frameworks to ensure that all families receive a safe, high quality, consistent service.
  • Provide training and consultations to the systems around the child or young person.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to children in care and care leavers.
  • Support placement stability by working collaboratively with the systems and professionals around the child or young person.
  • Maintain clinical supervision each month in line with recognised professional body standards.
