Polaris Community invites applications from experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioners to fill this challenging yet rewarding role. As a CAMHS Child Psychotherapist, you will work closely with children and young people looked after, and care leavers supporting their emotional wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our multi-disciplinary team, using your skills to engage, motivate, and challenge. You will work sensitively and appropriately to children, young people, and their families/foster carers, responding to their needs and promoting positive change.

About the Role:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to children in care and care leavers.
  • Work collaboratively with the systems and professionals around the child or young person to support their understanding and professional development.
  • Develop and deliver training and consultations to the systems around the child or young person.
  • Support placement stability and improved emotional health and wellbeing for the child or young person.
  • Maintain clinical supervision each month in line with recognised professional body standards.
