Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our Services and Agreements Manager in the procurement of essential mains services schemes and the coordination of service diversions. This role will involve securing road and sewer adoption agreements and ensuring the successful adoption of infrastructure by local highway and drainage authorities. The position also entails managing traffic control measures to facilitate new developments and assisting with the delivery of new service connections, as well as overseeing public open space areas for future maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather existing services data and assist in creating drawings to evaluate the impact of current services on new developments.
  • Compile budget estimates for new services and the diversion of existing services to aid in land acquisition budgeting.
  • Request detailed quotations for new mains services and diversions, including designs for site budget preparation.
  • Produce drawings to facilitate the installation of ducting for new highway construction.
  • Support project technicians in obtaining highway and drainage approvals and formal legal agreements for new site infrastructure.
  • Source new street lighting schemes and cost estimates for construction budgeting.
  • Conduct site inspections with highway and drainage authorities to ensure compliance for adoption.
  • Participate in meetings with statutory service providers to ensure timely mains service delivery and connections.
  • Inspect public open spaces to verify adherence to approved planting schemes before handover.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the Technical Department as needed.

Additional duties may be assigned as required by the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Motivated and eager to succeed.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Organized and capable of working independently; prior experience in a service-oriented role is advantageous.
  • Project management experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills, approachable demeanor, and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • A background in construction is helpful but not essential; full training will be offered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • A construction-related qualification or progress towards one is beneficial but not required, as training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous but not essential, as training will be available.
