Manufacturing Engineer

Murray Myers Limited is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective manufacture of components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to the design team to ensure manufacturability and feasibility of designs.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and eliminate waste and non-value-added activities.
- Generate manufacturing documentation, including route cards and manufacturing inspection and test plans.
- Review designs to ensure they meet manufacturing requirements and provide feedback to the design team.
- Input, sanitize, control, and update manufacturing data in the production control and MRP systems.
- Support the tendering process and develop manufacturing strategies.
- Raise and close out non-conformance reports using analytical methods.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing role, with knowledge of machining and/or welding in a lean environment.
- Graduate calibre with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, mechanical assembly, welding, and electronic/electrical assembly.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to communicate clear written and verbal instructions to various stakeholders.
- Work in an organized and methodical manner to review designs and offer advice on improved manufacturability.
- Produce detailed manufacturing instructions for planners, operators, inspectors, and quality engineers.
- UK national or resident with a minimum of 5 years' residency and eligibility for security clearance.
