Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Part-time Care Assistant to join our team at UKCIL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child with complex needs, including household tasks, meal preparation, and accompanying the child on outings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and general tidying up
  • Prepare and cook meals for the child and their family
  • Accompany the child on outings, including swimming, trampolining, and visits to a care farm
  • Provide support with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Transport the child and their family using a household car

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs
  • UK clean driving license and access to a household car
  • Reliability and flexibility to meet the needs of the child and their family
  • Basic knowledge or experience of working with children with trauma, neurodiversity, or de-escalating challenging behavior (desirable)

Benefits:

Post Requirements:

  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
