About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Leader to join our team at Plexus. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team: Identify and nurture talent, strengthen succession plans, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Implement Manufacturing and Operational Strategies: Focus on quality, delivery, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction, providing leadership to implement effective manufacturing and operational strategies.
  • Manage Customer Relationships: Work closely with Customer Management to drive P&L management, secure future growth opportunities, and manage key customer relationships.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement: Optimize efficiency and quality within the manufacturing operations, leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a Customer Interface: Establish executive-level relationships, become an expert in the customer and respective market sector, and optimize labour contribution to achieve customer deliveries and overall organizational goals.
  • Ensure Adherence to Procedures: Drive sustained quality improvements, ensure adherence to procedures, work instructions, and assembly build instructions, and leverage best practices for operations across the UK region.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the EMS sector or closely related industries (Electronics, Aerospace, Defense, Medical Devices, etc.).
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to provide guidance and direction to the management team, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to influence and effectively implement customer strategies.
  • Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related field of study, with self-motivation and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
