About the Role

G4S Business Unit: US Youth Services is seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Fabric Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing effective and compliant delivery of hard FM fabric maintenance services to a number of schools within the Tower Hamlets Schools contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs to various types of building fabric elements, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Diagnose faults on all building fabric elements and safely fix breakdowns and damage to assets, utilizing your knowledge of building maintenance and construction activities.

  • Ensure that all reactive and maintenance tasks are completed within the contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage subcontractor work performance, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within the designated timeframe.

  • Prepare reports and projects, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.

  • Provide support within our Greenwich Schools contract in the event of sickness, annual leave, and operational requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

  • Experience of building maintenance, construction activities, and other related trades, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.

  • Fire Risk Assessment Awareness and current or previous experience of Authorized/Competent Person duties for Working At Height and Confined Spaces.

  • Trained in access methods such as PASMA/IPAF/MEWPS, with a strong emphasis on safety and risk management.
