Fabric Maintenance Specialist

The Fabric Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of fabric services across the estate, adhering to operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements. This includes minimizing environmental impact and following health and safety processes.

This role involves a range of tasks, including carpentry, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance. The Fabric Maintenance Specialist will work closely with specialist contractors and other building engineers to deliver high-quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance as directed and within SLA
  • Maintaining a safe system of work process and periodically updating as required
  • Conducting fault finding across all areas of engineering responsibility
  • Collaborating with Campus Operations and other teams on projects
  • Dealing with emergencies and breakdowns
  • Complying with statutory, company, and client-specific environmental, health, safety, and quality standards

The ideal candidate will have a carpentry qualification and time-served fabric experience in a maintenance background. Strong competencies in building services trades and good communication skills are also essential.
