Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Abm. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers and employees in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with visitors and tenants in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the shopping centre to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to and manage incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the site control room to proactively address security concerns.
  • Monitor and report any unsecure areas of the site.
  • Deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies and incidents.
  • Monitor and log incidents in line with site and company policies.
  • Maintain vigilance and highlight unauthorized access by banned individuals.
  • Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
  • Record incidents in the DOB book correctly.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Respond promptly to all security issues and events.
  • Complete all training requirements as requested by line manager.

Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Smart and well-groomed.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Conflict management aware.
  • Telephone skills.
  • Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect.
  • Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Proactive attitude.
