Our Technology Oversight Team

The Technology Oversight team is a growing global team that forms part of Franklin Templeton Technology (FTT), with team members in multiple locations. This team is responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are identified and implemented within the technology space, with a focus on specific jurisdictions such as Luxembourg and the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding, interpreting, and implementing oversight frameworks for technology in line with UK regulatory expectations.
  • Maintaining technology oversight frameworks and preparing relevant reports for UK boards and fund boards.
  • Staying proactive and alert to any new regulatory changes in the UK and globally.
  • Communicating regulatory changes related to Information Technology to relevant stakeholders and preparing plans for implementation.
  • Representing Information Technology during regulatory inspections.

Global Responsibilities

  • Participating and advising on global control implementations and improvements.
  • Working with internal and external auditors as a liaison for the business.
  • Participating and advising on global regulatory implementations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5-7 years' experience in technology audit, technology compliance, or other regulatory technology roles within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of current UK technology regulatory requirements.
  • Good documentation skills (policies, KPIs, SLAs, etc.).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with teams spread across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Self-motivated, directed, and with attention to detail.
  • Professional-level knowledge of spoken and written English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
