Job Title: Data Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational expertise and support for the organisation's data management to ensure that data related business requirements are designed, built, and deployed in line with its Data Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with functions and data owners to understand information needs and requirements and translate business requirements into effective queries and analysis.
  • Support the Head of Technology & Resilience to ensure data requirements are designed and embedded across the business, including regulatory requirements, and compliance with the agreed ICT operating model.
  • Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Utilize statistical methods to extract meaningful insights from diverse sources of information.
  • Support compliance with information handling, to ensure it remains effective and agile across the business and regulatory requirements are met in relation to storage, retention, deletion and classification.
  • Contribute to the Electronic Document Management System, ensuring an effective structure and meta data, compliant access controls, reporting and operational oversight.
  • Contribute to effective colleague awareness and training in relation to data management.
  • Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Support the investigation and remediation of data-related problems, draft or peer support proposed maintenance or modifications.
  • Work with the Data Manager to ensure data science tooling is efficient, and consistent, allowing colleagues to utilise latest Business Intelligence technologies.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Data Governance Principles and best practice.
  • Experience & knowledge around data management techniques, including operational analytics and assurance reporting.
  • Ability to reconcile and resolve conflicting information.
  • Business Analysis tools and techniques in waterfall and agile environments.
  • Effective planning, organisational and analytical skills with ability to work with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written verbal and numeracy skills.
  • High levels of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Effective IT skills & knowledge required for the job role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services.
  • Support the delivery of Training.
  • Other corporate knowledge – health and safety, ICT systems, HR, information management and data protection
