Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Optima Installations Ltd. The primary objective of this role is to learn and develop skills in surveying while completing a Surveying Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the management of projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Monitor progress on site to guarantee completion of works within agreed programmes, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Provide support regarding all financial aspects of projects, ensuring a successful outcome and adherence to company financial policies.
  • Process sub-contract orders and purchase orders for plant and materials, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Training and Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will be enrolled on the Surveying Technician Level 3 Intermediate Apprenticeship, attending college on day release as directed by the college.
  • Apprentices will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Surveying as a prerequisite to end-point assessment and will become Associate members of the RICS (AssocRICS).

Career Progression:

  • On successful completion of level 3 and EPA, students can progress onto a BSc Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship, further developing their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent - 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C/5 or above) desirable.
