Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Optima Installations Ltd. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in all aspects of surveying, while completing a Surveying Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing the management of projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Monitor progress on site to ensure completion of works within agreed programmes, identifying and mitigating any potential delays or issues.
  • Provide support regarding all financial aspects of projects, ensuring a successful outcome and adherence to company financial policies.
  • Process sub-contract orders and purchase orders for plant and materials, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
Training and Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will be enrolled on the Surveying Technician Level 3 Intermediate Apprenticeship, attending college on day release as directed by the college.
  • Apprentices will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Surveying as a prerequisite to end-point assessment and will become Associate members of the RICS (AssocRICS).
Career Progression
  • On successful completion of level 3 and EPA, students can progress onto a BSc Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship, further developing their skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent - 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C/5 or above) desirable.
