Job Description

Overview

Optima Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the management of projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
  • Monitor progress on site, identifying and mitigating potential risks and delays.
  • Provide support with financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
  • Process sub-contract orders and purchase orders for plant and materials, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a safe working environment.

Training and Qualifications

  • Enrolled on the Surveying Technician Level 3 Intermediate Apprenticeship, with regular college attendance on day release.
  • Achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Surveying as a prerequisite to end-point assessment.
  • Associate membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Career Progression

  • Successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship and end-point assessment enables progression to the BSc Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship.
