The ideal candidate will have experience operating in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse principles, practices, and standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the store is manned with suitably qualified and experienced personnel to meet expected outputs, through training, assigning, scheduling, planning, and disciplining of the team.
  2. Coordinate resource requests with other teams.
  3. Control material, consumables, and inventory of special project spares and associated clean room materials.
  4. Assist the Supply Chain Manager with daily management tasks.
  5. Meet operational standards of performance by identifying continuous improvements.
  6. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  7. Ensure received items are booked in and located correctly within timeframes.
  8. Ensure items are kitted for production in line with the production schedule.
  9. Ensure the dispatch process is followed and items are packaged appropriately and in a timely manner for customers and suppliers to receive the goods.
  10. Demonstrate the stores department is meeting their objectives of performance through measurement and monitoring of Key KPIs.
  11. Ensure inventory is managed using FIFO.
  12. Use appropriate commodity management methods such as Kanban.
  13. Carry out a perpetual stock take to ensure 100% of inventory is checked on an annual basis, investigating and reconciling any discrepancies.
  14. Maintain the warehouse through the best utilisation of space to maximise efficiency.
  15. Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are maintained and available for use.
  16. Ensure all shipments comply with Export Controls & Dangerous Goods Controls.
Essential Requirements:
  1. GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  2. Experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience in Export control.
  4. Experience in handling dangerous goods.
  5. Computer literate. Use of ERP.
  6. Demonstrate an understanding of warehouse methods, principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  7. Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
  8. Knowledge of current Environmental legislation.
  9. Ability to react swiftly as situations change and/or develop.
  10. Effective communicator both written and orally.
  11. Ability to plan, prioritise, and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
